The National Investigation Agency (NIA) intensifies its investigation into the deadly Red Fort blast by conducting searches in Anantnag and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The action comes as a significant move to dismantle a sophisticated 'white collar' terror module.
Officials confirmed that the NIA, with the assistance of local police and CRPF, raided locations pointed out by Dr Adeel Rather and Jasir Bilal Wani. Both individuals were arrested in connection with the terror network and provided essential information about the hideouts in the region.
This investigation follows an operation by Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with authorities from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, which led to the arrest of eight individuals, including three doctors. The crackdown revealed a significant cache of explosives and arms tied to notorious groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.
