In a significant show of unity, sixteen trade unions, including Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), rallied in support of the four recently notified Labour Codes at the Labour & Employment Summit–2025. The summit, organized by the Confederation of Central Trade Unions (CONCENT), emphasized conveying the benefits of these codes to workers nationwide.

The event, inaugurated by Union Minister for Labour & Employment Mansukh Mandaviya, spotlighted the Labour Codes introduced on November 21. Over 200 participants, ranging from trade-union leaders to social-security institution representatives, engaged in discussions focused on ensuring the codes' intended implementations.

Key provisions of the Labour Codes include mandatory appointment letters, guaranteed minimum wages, and extended social security for over 40 crore workers. Mandaviya clarified that these codes are designed to provide equal opportunities and rights to all workers, especially women, safeguarding them from any rights curtailment by employers.
