MoHFW Health Pavilion Draws Strong Public Response at Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition 2026

The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition (VGRE) 2026, organised by the Government of Gujarat at Marwadi University, Rajkot, concluded on a high note on 15 January 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from visitors across India and overseas. Among the major highlights of the exhibition was the Health Pavilion set up by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), which emerged as a key attraction for its people-centric services and outreach.
“Swasthya Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” in Action
Spread across nearly 700 square metres in Hall No. 6, the Health Pavilion was conceptualised around the theme “Swasthya Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, showcasing the Government of India’s integrated and citizen-focused approach to strengthening public health systems.
The pavilion was jointly inaugurated on 11 January 2026 by senior officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, along with representatives from the Government of Gujarat and District Health Agencies.
One-Stop Platform for Health Services and Awareness
The pavilion featured 26 stalls representing 12 programme divisions of MoHFW, with active collaboration from State and District health authorities. Over the five-day exhibition, thousands of visitors availed themselves of free healthcare services, screenings, counselling and awareness sessions.
Key services and activities included:

Health counselling on HIV and mental health

Awareness sessions on flagship initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat–PMJAY, Eat Right India, One Health, fluorosis prevention and Health Technology Assessment in India

Screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, blood group, oral cancer, eye and ear health

Geriatric assessment and basic rehabilitation services for senior citizens
Engaging Outreach and Preventive Health Messaging
Beyond clinical services, the Health Pavilion hosted a range of interactive outreach activities designed to promote preventive healthcare and community participation.

Nukkad Natak performances by TB and Immunization teams of the Government of Gujarat

Live CPR demonstrations conducted by the Rural Health Training Center, Najafgarh, New Delhi

Health-themed quiz competitions with prizes

A dedicated zone featuring traditional, screen-free games, encouraging healthy recreation—especially among children
Strong Public and International Interest
The Health Pavilion received an overwhelming and encouraging response, attracting large numbers of visitors, including foreign nationals. Its popularity reflected growing public awareness of government health initiatives and increasing trust in the accessibility and impact of MoHFW’s flagship programmes.
Officials noted that the pavilion successfully bridged healthcare delivery, awareness and citizen engagement in a single platform, reinforcing the importance of preventive care and informed health choices.
