U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed concern on Sunday regarding a report submitted by five European allies: the document accuses Russia of assassinating Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny using poison darts derived from toxin-laden frogs.
Speaking in Bratislava, Rubio stated that the U.S. acknowledges the report and finds it troubling. He further confirmed that Washington sees no reason to challenge its findings. "We obviously are aware of the report. It's a troubling report," Rubio remarked during a news conference.
Despite reaffirming the U.S. stance of not disputing the report, Rubio clarified that there would be no contention with these allied countries over the matter. He emphasized, "But it was their report, and they put that out there," referring to the European assessment of the incident.
