EU Strengthens Security Ties with India in Landmark Agreement

Kallas, the European Commission's Vice-President, underscored the EU's ten defence partnerships, including with India and Australia, as part of its strategy to forge security collaborations. She pointed out the importance of international cooperation to navigate the tumultuous geopolitical landscape, stressing that the majority of nations seek stability and growth.

Recently, India and the EU signed a landmark free trade agreement, paving the way for a market of two billion people. This partnership aims to reinforce the rules-based world order, combining economic and defence collaboration. The agreement also includes critical pacts on security and mobility for Indian talents in Europe.
