Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at rallies in Assam, laid out the BJP's plan for tribal development. He emphasized a roadmap created by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma aimed at the upliftment of tribal communities if the BJP secures another mandate from the people.
Shah criticized the Congress party for historical neglect of tribal welfare, contrasting it with the BJP's significant investments in the community over the last 11 years. He also dismissed Congress's assurances, alleging their attempts to thwart developments like the establishment of an IIM in Palashbari, which the BJP facilitated.
Addressing concerns about the Uniform Civil Code, Shah reassured that tribal areas would remain unaffected, dismissing fears as Congress's scaremongering. He highlighted the BJP's success in restoring peace in Assam and its efforts to tackle infiltration. Shah urged voters to support the BJP in the forthcoming assembly polls.
