Drone Tensions Soar Between U.S. and Cuba Amid Espionage Claims

In a bold statement on Sunday, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez accused the United States of concocting a "fraudulent case" as a pretext to impose economic sanctions and possibly intervene militarily.

The accusation came after Axios reported on intelligence claims that Cuba has acquired over 300 military drones, with alleged plans to target U.S. interests, including the Guantanamo Bay naval base.

The U.S. regards Cuba as a strategic threat, particularly with the involvement of Iranian advisers. This development coincides with heightened tensions following an impending indictment of former Cuban leader Raul Castro, marking a potential pressure escalation by the Trump administration.
