Belgium has taken a strong stand against Russia, summoning the Russian ambassador after Moscow urged diplomatic personnel and foreign citizens to evacuate Kyiv due to impending strikes. Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot made the announcement on Wednesday, highlighting that such threats to embassies are acts of intimidation, not diplomacy.

Prevot denounced the Russian actions as a blatant infringement of international law and the Vienna Convention. He assured that Belgium would maintain its presence in Kyiv, refusing to be intimidated by the threats.

In solidarity with Belgium, several other European Union states have also summoned their respective Russian ambassadors, signaling a unified stance against Moscow's aggressive posture.
