Jaipur Farmers Allege Massive Land Seizure in Real Estate Scandal

The Enforcement Directorate in Jaipur is investigating after several farmers alleged that real estate developers unlawfully acquired their land by exploiting powers of attorney. Farmers claim they sold their land legally but later discovered their ownership rights were manipulated without consent. Officials are scrutinizing documents and transactions linked to these claims.

The Enforcement Directorate's Jaipur wing is probing accusations of money laundering and fraudulent acquisition of land. Farmers claim their ancestral lands were seized by real estate developers through misused legal documents. The farmers have been called to provide detailed testimonies and relevant transaction documents.

This inquiry affects farmers from Sanganer villages, who believe their land was sold legally yet ownership was later altered without their consent. Kailash Chand, a farmer, shared that his family lawfully sold land in 2005, only to discover misuse of documents later. The investigation is also linked to activities by a network allegedly involving Gyan Chand Agarwal, with numerous legal complaints against him in Rajasthan.

A real estate project was reportedly registered with falsified documents, prompting calls for regulatory action and audits. Both the Special Operations Group in Jaipur and the Rajasthan RERA are examining these intricate legal disputes involving multiple stakeholders.
