The woman, along with her three friends, was also arrested by the SIT on charges of extortion. According to the SIT, she and her friends allegedly demanded five crores from Chinmayanand, failing which they had threatened to leak a video of him getting massages from her.

All the accused are currently in the judicial custody in connection with the case. In a recent turn of events, Chinmayanand sent a letter to the police demanding that the Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act be applied on the four accused, including her father.

Speaking to ANI, Chinmayanand's counsel, Pooja Singh, said, "On the basis of the complaint, we have submitted an application to the Chief Judicial Magistrate asking him to take an action. We have also sought the extortion case to be transferred to a special court." (ANI)
