Angola’s private securities market starts with 4.7 billion Kwanzas

Angola Securities Exchange (BODIVA) has started issuing since December 11, corporate bonds of the Standard Bank Angola to be negotiated at 4.7 billion Kwanzas (USD 15 million) unlike the expected AKZ 9.5 billion.

The official launching took place on December 14 in Angola’s capital city Luanda, in a ceremony presided over by the Finance minister, Archer Mangueira.

The initiative of the Standard Bank Angola is a landmark moment for the country’s economy, since it leads off with BODIVA’s corporate obligations and securities market to be listed at stock exchanges.

Data from 2017 reports that the Standard Bank of Angola had an active of 318 billion kwanzas through deposit of 266 billion kwanzas, 34 billion kwanzas of bank product an efficient ratio of 46 percent, 33 percent of regulatory solvability and 5 percent of credit default.

The Standard Bank of Angola is 51 percent held by the Standard Bank Group operating with 18 agencies scattered in seven provinces of Angola providing services to over 26,700 clients.
