EU ambassador to China: Borrell comments on Taiwan Strait are exaggerated

The European Union ambassador to China said on Tuesday that recent comments made by EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell on the Taiwan Strait have been grossly exaggerated.

Borrell reportedly wrote in an opinion piece in the Journal Du Dimanche that European navies should patrol the disputed Taiwan Strait.

"I think what he said has been grossly exaggerated," Jorge Toledo Albinana said in Beijing.
