White House welcomes Hungarian decision on Sweden NATO membership

The U.S. government on Monday welcomed Hungary's parliament approval of Sweden's NATO accession, the White House said.

"We would like to welcome Sweden alongside Finland into the NATO alliance very, very soon," said spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre. She encouraged the Hungarian government to quickly complete the process to allow Sweden's entry into NATO.
