The report highlights the income and expenditure of 39 out of 57 regional political parties, emphasizing transparency issues and delayed submissions.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has emerged as the top regional party in terms of income for the financial year 2022-23, amassing Rs 737.67 crore, according to data from the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).

Among the top five parties with the highest expenditures, the All India Trinamool Congress led with Rs 181.18 crore, followed by the YSR-Congress at Rs 79.32 crore, BRS at Rs 57.47 crore, DMK at Rs 52.62 crore, and the Samajwadi Party at Rs 31.41 crore.

The ADR's comprehensive analysis covers 39 out of 57 regional parties, revealing that the total declared income for these parties stood at Rs 1,740.48 crore, with the top five parties collectively accounting for Rs 1,541.32 crore.
