In a significant political move, Shiv Sena-UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray met with former Congress president Sonia Gandhi to strategize for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.
Thackeray's meeting came on the heels of discussions with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, underscoring a unified front of the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition. Comprising Shiv Sena-UBT, Congress, and NCP-SCP, the coalition aims to present a formidable challenge in the elections.
During his three-day visit to Delhi, Thackeray also held talks with Rajya Sabha member Kapil Sibal. He was accompanied by his wife Rashmi and son Aditya, and returned to Mumbai late Thursday evening.
