In a scathing critique of the state's prevailing political regime, Congress has accused the BJP-JDU coalition of prioritizing a 'migration industry' over Bihar's industrial development. The 20-year governance has been criticized for eroding the state's once-thriving industrial sectors, according to Congress leader Jairam Ramesh.
Ramesh articulated his concerns regarding the state's waning industrial heritage, juxtaposing it with the dynamic growth seen during previous Congress administrations. He highlighted the degradation of critical industries such as sugar, jute, and silk, emphasizing the need for industrial revival over migration.
As Bihar braces for imminent elections, the opposition is positioning itself with Tejashwi Yadav as their chief ministerial hopeful against the backdrop of these critiques, alluding to a pressing need for reconstruction to replace the migration-driven economy.
