Allegations of irregularities have surfaced following the recent Police Recruitment Board examination held on November 30 in West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, highlighted concerns over the distribution of carbon copies of OMR sheets, which reportedly lacked serial numbers.
During a press conference, Adhikari criticized the examination process, claiming that the carbon copies should remain with candidates rather than the authorities conducting the test. He warned that this oversight might allow for manipulation of results to favor certain candidates.
Furthermore, Adhikari called for the removal of the Mamata Banerjee government, asserting that fair employment prospects for educated, unemployed youth in West Bengal hinge on a change in leadership. He indicated willingness to support legal action if examinees pursued public interest litigation.
