Pakistan launched a series of precision airstrikes in Afghanistan, targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure amidst rising tensions between the neighboring countries. According to Pakistan's Ministry of Information, the strikes aimed to dismantle support structures for the Afghan Taliban regime across Kabul and Nangarhar.
Amidst claims of successful destruction of significant military installations, Afghan officials rebuked Islamabad, accusing them of bombarding a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, leading to the reported deaths of around 400 individuals. The accusation has further strained the already tense relations between the two nations.
The Pakistani government insists that their targets were precise, aiming at terrorist and military installations without collateral damage. Meanwhile, Afghan authorities, including their Deputy Spokesman, have pledged retaliation against what they denote as aggression, marking a challenging phase in bilateral relations.
