The Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar has launched a scathing attack on the ruling AAP and the Congress, accusing them of attempting to foster an anti-BJP sentiment. He emphasized that the central government is actively working for the welfare of farmers and various societal sectors.
Jakhar argued that the upcoming 2027 assembly elections in Punjab will reflect the people's awareness of the so-called 'truth' and their rejection of the "misinformation" propagated by the AAP and Congress. He presented data to counter what he termed as false narratives against the BJP-led central administration.
Highlighting the central government's financial initiatives, Jakhar noted increases in the agriculture budget and schemes like PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi. He criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for not implementing the state's agriculture policy and questioned the recognition of central fund usage on projects. Jakhar also pointed out the absence of a state-level crop insurance scheme as previously promised.
