Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu - As the assembly elections approach, DMK MP voiced strong confidence in Chief Minister MK Stalin's leadership on Wednesday, anticipating a renewed term in office. She cited the past five years of governance as a testament to the effectiveness of Stalin's administration, drawing voter trust.
The MP underscored notable government achievements, including significant developments in infrastructure, job creation, and the implementation of social welfare schemes, particularly benefiting women and students. "The state has witnessed upward trends in development and GDP since Stalin assumed power, with increased industrial opportunities in Thoothukudi offering employment to young citizens," she commented.
In related news, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin revealed plans to distribute Rs 8,000 coupons, empowering people to buy essential household items like TVs and refrigerators. Furthermore, the state government has facilitated laptop distribution to 10 lakh college students, bolstering educational support. Tamil Nadu is set to vote on April 23, with results announced on May 4.
