Seat-Sharing Spats: Congress-DMK's Puducherry Dilemma
Veteran Congress leader V Narayansamy attributes the confusion over seat-sharing in Puducherry elections to both Congress and DMK. Despite the setback, condemnation is directed towards the BJP-led regime. The controversial seat distribution saw Congress fielding extra candidates, which remains a point of contention before the April 9 elections.

Veteran Congress leader V Narayansamy has addressed the confusion surrounding seat-sharing between his party and ally DMK in the Puducherry elections. According to Narayansamy, both parties share responsibility for the issues, describing it as a minor setback.
The DMK, however, disagreed with this assessment, accusing Congress of making a significant error by fielding candidates in six additional constituencies. The situation escalated with Congress having to navigate a last-minute decision to contest from 16 seats while DMK was allocated 14.
The electoral drama unfolds as Puducherry heads to the polls on April 9, amid claims from Narayansamy of BJP betrayal and public desire for change. Internal party discord adds complexity, with unauthorized candidates still bearing the official Congress symbol, igniting further intra-party tension.
