In the second phase of Himachal Pradesh rural elections, women's participation surpassed men's, with an overall turnout nearing 80%. Despite peaceful polling, a village in Hamirpur boycotted voting over unmet demands. The elections, crucial for local governance, saw no untoward incidents reported.

The second phase of the panchayat elections in Himachal Pradesh witnessed an impressive voter turnout, nearing 80%, with women leading the way in nine districts. The female turnout soared to 82.97%, overtaking the male turnout of 76.69% across the state.

Polling was conducted without incidents, according to State Chief Election Commissioner Anil Khachi. Notably, Kullu reported the highest participation at over 85%. However, in Kangri Ward of Hamirpur, residents boycotted voting, demanding administrative changes. Meanwhile, Hamirpur BJP representative Anurag Thakur highlighted the public's discontent with the ruling party.
