Khondalite stones are being used in the beautification work around the 12th century shrine, he said. The corridor will be decorated with stone decorative, wood trees, shrubs and flower beds related to Jagannath culture.

The project also proposes a queue management facility that can handle 6,000 people, along with a security checking facility. After reaching the pilgrim town, the chief secretary first visited 'Swargadwar' to see the development and beautification works at the cremation ground.
