Torrential rains triggered a landslide in Caserta, Italy, leading to urgent evacuations. Rescuers are currently searching for a woman and her adult son, missing and feared dead after their vehicle was caught in the landslide.
The incident occurred in the town of San Felice a Cancello, about 30 km northeast of Naples. The local mayor, Emilio Nuzzo, expressed little hope for their survival.
Emergency services have deployed 10 search squads in the effort while severe weather also affected other regions, including Milan and Como.
