The Indian Cabinet has sanctioned a substantial investment of Rs 3,630.77 crore to construct a road corridor enhancing connectivity to the forthcoming Jewar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. Spanning 31.42 kilometers, this project aims to forge a direct link from South Delhi, Faridabad, and Gurugram to the airport.

Chairing the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the revised financial package for the greenfield connectivity project originating from Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna Spur of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This decision marks a significant step toward regional economic growth and logistical advancements within the National Capital Region (NCR).

The new corridor will intersect essential routes like the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and the Dedicated Freight Corridor, encouraging multimodal transport integration. Notably, 11 km of the corridor will be an elevated highway, costing an additional Rs 689.24 crore, partially funded by the Haryana government.
