Djokovic Triumphs at Indian Wells, Pegula Shines in Women's Draw

Novak Djokovic, the third seed, demonstrated resilience at Indian Wells by overcoming a second-set challenge to defeat American Aleksandar Kovacevic with scores of 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 on Monday. This victory moves Djokovic into the tournament's last 16 for the first time since 2017.
Despite being dismantled in the second set, Djokovic reasserted control to secure the win in just over two hours. The 24-time Grand Slam champion lauded Kovacevic as a formidable talent, noting his exceptional one-handed backhand and strong serving performance.
In the women's competition, fifth seed Jessica Pegula showcased her determination by rallying from a set down against Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko. Pegula captured a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory, securing her spot in the tournament's fourth round.
