New contracts and agreements also reflect expanding markets and strategic growth within the sport.
The Turkish Grand Prix is set to make its return to the Formula One schedule next year, promising excitement for fans and competitors. Announced this Friday, this addition will stabilize the event's 24-round format even as some European races rotate.
Formula One's chief executive, Stefano Domenicali, has emphasized that the current calendar is at its maximum capacity. The Dutch Grand Prix will be off the schedule after this season, while Belgium and Barcelona will rotate over the next five years – aligning with the duration of the Turkish contract. Meanwhile, Madrid's anticipated debut this year and Portugal's Portimao circuit starting in 2027 reflect strategic expansions.
With circuits across the globe, including Mexico, Singapore, and China, Formula One seeks broader commercial growth and global representation. The possible revival of circuits in regions like India and South America signifies Formula One's ongoing ambitions to explore new markets.
