KTM's Pedro Acosta electrified the Catalan Grand Prix by securing pole position, breaking a 588-day dry spell. The young Spaniard amazed with a blistering lap of one minute and 38.068 seconds, securing his second career MotoGP pole. This achievement stirred excitement among home fans, marking his first pole since the Japanese Grand Prix in 2024.

Acosta expressed joy, stating the bike's excellent synergy with the track conditions. Joining him on the front grid are Franco Morbidelli of VR46 Racing and Gresini Racing's Alex Marquez. Notable names on the second row include Trackhouse's Raul Fernandez and LCR Honda's Johann Zarco.
