Ramesh Budihal and Srikanth D led the pack at the 2026 Indian Open of Surfing, with Budihal achieving a score of 14.83 and Srikanth D following closely behind with 13.00 in the men's open quarterfinals. This marks a high point in the exciting competition held on Saturday.

Also making their mark were promising talents like Kishore Kumar, who scored 11.80, and Ajeesh Ali with 9.93, securing places in the semifinals alongside others. The tournament serves as a critical platform in selecting the Indian team for the upcoming 2026 Asian Games.

With competitors greeted by ideal surfing conditions, a total of six quarterfinals and six semifinals took place across five categories. The men's open category featured 24 surfers battling through six heats for spots in the quarterfinals, with several notable performances delighting a captivated audience.

Among the juniors, Harish P and Tayin Arun showcased their prowess with scores of 13.60 and 12.67 respectively, leading the pack to secure the remaining semifinal places amid fierce competition.
