Three Indian cycling coaches are participating in an advanced programme hosted by the International Cycling Union (UCI) in Aigle, Switzerland, to enhance their coaching capabilities. Endorsed by the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), this initiative aims to bolster the country's growing stature in cycling.

The selected coaches, Mayank Patel, Joginder, and Prateek Manodhya, commenced their training on May 18, with their course set to conclude on June 8. The programme, known for its rigorous curriculum, covers advanced training strategies, performance analytics, and sports science, all designed to propel India's cycling talent to the forefront of the Asian scene.

The UCI's commitment to the development of Indian cycling talent was further emphasized by Jacques Landry, Director of the World Cycling Centre. He noted that India's national federation is actively working to identify and nurture emerging talent, with the aim of positioning India as a competitive force globally in cycling.

As part of their efforts to integrate India into the international cycling circuit, CFI's Maninder Pal Singh will travel to Italy for the UCI management committee meeting. His agenda includes advocating for the elevation of the Bajaj Pune Tour to attain a higher UCI status, a reflection of India's growing influence in the sport.
