Former West Bromwich Albion talent Quevin Castro has tragically passed away at the age of 25 after collapsing during a friendly match in Lisbon. The Lisbon Football Association confirmed the midfielder was competing for Real Sport Clube against top-tier Estrela da Amadora when the incident occurred on Saturday.

Expressing their sorrow, the Lisbon FA sent heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and Real SC SAD. Castro was a part of West Brom's academy starting in 2021, debuting in a League Cup match against Arsenal, and later had loan spells at Burton Albion, Notts County, and Gateshead before departing the club earlier this year.

In tribute, West Brom plans to honor Castro ahead of their Sunday fixture against Burnley, dedicating the 25th minute to applause and having their team don black armbands. Real Sport Clube and Estrela da Amadora also postponed their match in light of the tragic news, sharing their condolences on Instagram.
