Qualcomm Technologies today unveiled its newest video collaboration solution, called the Qualcomm QCS8250 Video Collaboration Reference Design, aimed at improving virtual meetings and collaboration in today's modern hybrid work settings.

The solution is an all-inclusive hardware and software platform that natively supports unified communication apps with on-device AI capabilities and excellent camera and audio quality.

The all-in-one solution is intended for medium to large conference rooms and can either run unified communication applications natively or function in device mode for meetings hosted on a PC. It utilizes the Qualcomm AI Suite for Video Collaboration/Video Conferencing to provide customized on-device AI capabilities, tailored to enhance the video conferencing experience.

"Qualcomm Technologies is continuing to push the boundaries of AI across audio, camera and video, and our latest Qualcomm QCS8250 reference design enables more immersive, virtually seamless video conferencing experiences that ensures all colleagues, whether in-person or remote, can be clearly seen and heard," Dev Singh, vice president, business development, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said in a statement.

Pre-qualified and tested for Microsoft Teams, the new QCS8250 solution is a ready-to-use platform that allows OEMs to quickly create, customize and launch new video conferencing products with the latest AI audio and video features.
