DNB launches Malaysia's largest 5G experience center with Ericsson

Malaysia's leading operator Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), in partnership with Ericsson, has announced the launch of the country's largest 5G experience center to accelerate the deployment of fifth-generation wireless cellular technology or 5G.

Named "My5G Portal", the center will provide an interactive and immersive environment for visitors to learn about, experience, and understand the potential of 5G technology by showing the value of 5G products and services in action, via live demos and technology showcases.

"By providing a platform for education, innovation, collaboration, and the demonstration of 5G capabilities, the ‘My5G Portal’ experience center will serve as an enabler for Malaysia's digital transformation. Here, stakeholders and consumers will see the real-world value of 5G, which can lead to increased interest, investment, and the widespread adoption of 5G technology," said Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, David Hägerbro.

As the key partner, Ericsson has equipped sections of the Center with technology demos and innovative 5G applications, which will contribute to creating an impactful customer experience for the visitors.

DNB's My5G Portal includes the following main zones:

• 5G for Malaysia - demonstrating the vision and purpose of DNB and the key capabilities of the operator's network
• Ericsson 5G Leadership - focus on Ericsson's end-to-end 5G products and services that are powering Malaysia’s World Class 5G network
• Enterprise and Industry Applications - focus on enterprise opportunities and benefits for society
• Consumer and Home Applications - includes use cases such as immersive media, cloud gaming, smart home communications and 5G devices.
