SpaceX is set to expand its Starlink internet constellation in the low-Earth orbit by launching a new batch of satellites on Wednesday, April 17.

A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites is scheduled to lift off at 5:26 p.m. ET from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Backup launch opportunities are also available until 9:24 p.m. ET.

The Falcon 9's first stage booster supporting this mission has previously launched Crew-5, GPS III Space Vehicle 06, Inmarsat I6-F2, CRS-28, Intelsat G-37, NG-20, and five Starlink missions. This Starlink mission marks its 12th flight.

Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean

For those interested in watching the launch live, SpaceX will host a webcast on their X account (@SpaceX), starting approximately five minutes before liftoff.

For the unversed, Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX to provide high-speed, low-latency internet access to users around the globe, particularly targeting areas where connectivity has historically been unreliable, expensive, or completely unavailable.
