Gensol Welcomes New Leadership: Popli and Naqvi Appointed to Board

Gensol Engineering's board has approved the appointment of Kuljit Singh Popli as an Independent Director and Ali Imran Naqvi as an Additional Director. Popli, with over 40 years in the energy sector, will serve a five-year term. Naqvi brings more than 14 years of professional experience, having previously served as CEO of Gensol Engineering Limited, Solar EPC India.

In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership, Gensol Engineering has announced the appointment of Kuljit Singh Popli as an Independent Director. Known for his extensive 40-year experience in the energy sector, Popli's term will last five years, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming general meeting.

Popli, the founder director of Clime Finance Pvt Ltd, has also worked as an Advisor with the International Solar Alliance and served as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) from 2014 to 2019.

Additionally, the board has approved the appointment of Ali Imran Naqvi as an Additional Director. Naqvi, who has over 14 years of experience and previously served as CEO of Gensol Engineering Limited, Solar EPC India, will also serve a five-year term, contingent on shareholder approval.
