Pixxel Space Partners with French Firm to Propel Satellite Innovation

Pixxel Space has partnered with Exotrail, a French propulsion provider, to enhance its satellite capabilities. This collaboration will integrate advanced propulsion systems in Pixxel's satellites, supporting its expanding Earth Observation initiative. The deal was announced as part of the India-France Innovation Year, highlighting the cooperation between the two nations in space technology.

Pixxel Space, a burgeoning space-tech startup, has entered into a strategic partnership with French electric propulsion provider Exotrail, focusing on enhancing satellite maneuvering in orbit. This collaboration was unveiled at the commencement of the India-France Innovation Year, an event marked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai.

Under this significant agreement, Pixxel Space will incorporate Exotrail's cutting-edge spaceware electric propulsion systems in its forthcoming satellite projects. These deliveries, stretching through 2027, are pivotal to the company's burgeoning Earth Observation satellite constellation and its overarching space infrastructure ambitions.

Pixxel Space, known for its high-resolution hyperspectral satellites, recently garnered support from the government to build satellites for the Indian Air Force and pioneer India's first privately owned national earth observation system. The new propulsion systems will bolster satellite deployment strategies, offering improved operational flexibility and enhanced end-of-life management, thus fostering international cooperation in space ventures.
