Union Minister Jitin Prasada has reassured that India's artificial intelligence regulations are designed to foster innovation rather than stifle it. Speaking at the AWS New Delhi Symposium 2026, Prasada insisted that technology transformation should benefit everyone, highlighting India's potential as a fast-growing market for AI solutions.
Prasada emphasized that India won't consider itself successful until the benefits of technology reach every segment of society, boosting both productivity and living standards. AWS India & South Asia President Sandeep Dutta stressed the importance of democratizing technology, with digital public infrastructure playing a crucial role.
At the same event, Indian Oil Corporation Chairman Arvinder Singh Sahney highlighted the inevitable shift toward sustainable energy. With a massive annual crude oil import bill, India must embrace this transition. AWS and Nasscom's strategic partnership aims to skill 250,000 learners in AI and Cloud by 2027.
