India Commissions Nuclear-Powered Submarine INS Aridaman

India has inducted its indigenously-built nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine INS Aridaman, enhancing its naval nuclear capabilities. This move strengthens India's position as one of the few nations with such advanced underwater military technology. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the commissioning, emphasizing India's focus on underwater nuclear deterrent advancements.

On a significant technological advancement, India has launched its latest nuclear-powered submarine, INS Aridaman, into service. This move reinforces the nation's naval nuclear capabilities, enhancing the nuclear triad structure. The commissioning took place at a naval facility in Kerala, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who highlighted the strategic importance of this addition to India's defense arsenal.

The INS Aridaman joins the fleet as a part of India's stealth underwater deterrents, following its predecessor, INS Arihant. Both are part of the secretive SSBN (ship submersible ballistic nuclear) project, placing India among an elite group including countries like the US, Russia, and China with similar technological prowess.
