According to the Vietnam E-commerce Association (Vecom) the e-commerce of Vietnam is valued at USD 5 bn and in next four years, it might reach 10 bn.

In the e-commerce segment last year, Vietnam experience 25 percent growth and expected to have same growth for 2018-2020 according to Vecom.

The retail e-commerce segment revenue grew by 35 percent last year and the growth in the revenue for many delivery companies ranged from 62 percent to 200 percent.

Domestic transaction grew by 50 percent last year and total values witness the growth by 75 percent according to the statistics from the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam. There was an impressive growth of 200 percent in the affiliate marketing.

More young people, who are conversant with the technology, are shopping online through online shipping sits such as Lazada, Shoppe, and Tiki, as per a recent survey by BSA centre. In the survey done in 2108, the people choice for online shopping increase from 0.9 percent to 2.7 percent.

The Director of Consumer Insight of Nielsen Vietnam, Dang Thuy Ha told that the customers who are shopping online are still concerned about the delivery time and quality of the products. She said that the interface of many websites is not user-friendly.

Alibaba and Amazon have shown a positive signal to the customers in Vietnam and its developing market by launching their services in the country.

The Director said that the sellers must be honest when advertising. The websites must look beautiful. They must be user-friendly and easy to use to keep customers.
