Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 and died on 30 January 1948. Mahatma Gandhi's views are widely liked in the world and many people also follow his ideas. Gandhiji was such a person who is seen in respect in every part of the world.

That is why he is called Mahatma because he has sent the messages of humanity to the people.

Gandhiji used to say that violence can not be a solution to any problem in the world, for which nonviolence is the best remedy.

  • The respect of Mahatma Gandhi in the world can be understood by the fact that Britain issued a postal stamp in his name after 21 years of his death depicting the struggle of Gandhi during his fight for Independence.
  • At the age of 13, Gandhiji married Kasturba, one-year-old. It took one year to complete the practices related to marriage, and for this reason, they could not go to school for a year.
  • Gandhi helped set up a total of three football clubs in South Africa's Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg.
  • With the exception of small roads in India, a total of 53 major roads are named after Mahatma Gandhi, while the names of 48 roads in foreign are named after him.
