Mobiistar enters West Bengal offline market

Kolkata, Sep 12 (PTI) Vietnamese smartphone company Mobiistar Wednesday announced its foray into West Bengal offline market with a range of handsets targeted at first-time users.
Mobiistar CEO, Global, and India, Carl Ngo said the company was betting on offline mode as it believes there are enough opportunities in the Indian physical market.
"Recently the company has got an update that online smartphone retail account for about 30 percent, 32 percent to be precise. So still about 70 percent of the market is still offline," he explained.
Ngo said a lot of consumers in Tier II and III cities search for information on the internet but go to offline stores to purchase the handset.
The company has already launched products in Punjab, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow.
