IT firm GlobalLogic Tuesday said it has appointed Puneet Gupta as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the India and Asia Pacific region.
In his role, Gupta will be responsible for the technology and innovation strategy for the company in India and APAC region, a statement said.
The newly created position will also entail forging partnerships with business leaders to understand the current and future technology needs of the industry, it added.
Gupta will report directly to the Managing Director and India and APAC Head Sumit Sood.
He has previously been associated with companies like Infosys, ITC Infotech, Brillio, Marketelligent, and Imagine sales Technologies among others.

T9L receives funding from Japan's Spiral Ventures, MyNavi Corporation
* T9L, a startup studio for entrepreneurs, Tuesday said it has received investment from Spiral Ventures and MyNavi Corporation.
The company plans to deploy these funds to build infrastructure and hire manpower to be able to help a larger number of startups, a statement said.
The company has aggressive plans to help launch over 200 start-ups and successfully transform them into scalable businesses in a period of 5 years globally including South Asia, America, and Africa.

Comviva forays into banking customer value management
* Mobility solutions provider Comviva Tuesday said it has forayed into banking customer value management (CVM) by entering into a partnership with Number Theory, an artificial intelligence and enterprise data management firm.
The partnership allows Comviva to enhance 'MobiLytix' -- its real-time marketing solution -- with new machine learning and AI capabilities built on Number Theory's platform, Comviva said in a statement.
The partnership aims to combine Comviva's big-data enabled, multi-channel CVM platform with Number Theory's machine learning and AI capabilities, it added.
