Relief to people of Egypt as core inflation falls in September

Egypt's core inflation fell to 8.55 per cent year-on-year in September from 8.83 per cent in August, the central bank said on Wednesday.

The headline inflation rate jumped 16 per cent in September, statistics agency CAPMAS said earlier on Wednesday, on the back of increases in the price of food and beverages.
