Volkswagen India on Monday revealed it will standardize six airbags across all variants of its 5-Star Global NCAP safety-rated Taigun and Virtus models. This decision reflects Volkswagen's ongoing commitment to enhancing vehicle safety and catering to customer demand.

Since their respective launches—Taigun in September 2021 and Virtus in March 2022—both models have gained traction among Indian consumers, significantly contributing to the company's sales milestones. 'Our portfolio of India 2.0 cars will offer six airbags as standard across the line-up. With this, we are showcasing our commitment towards safer mobility,' said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.

In addition to the safety upgrade, Volkswagen India has introduced two new variants of the Taigun GT Line, ensuring a diverse and appealing lineup for its customers.
