Rapido Fuels Voter Turnout with 10 Lakh Free Rides During 2024 Elections

Ride-hailing platform Rapido successfully promoted greater voter participation by offering 10 lakh free rides, helping voters travel seamlessly during the 2024 general elections. Under its 'Sawaari Zimmedari Ki' campaign, Rapido's 4 lakh captains covered 32 lakh kilometers to ensure voters could reach polling stations.

In a significant move to boost electoral participation, ride-hailing platform Rapido announced on Monday that it facilitated 10 lakh free rides during the general elections of 2024. The initiative, part of Rapido's 'Sawaari Zimmedari Ki' campaign, underscored the platform's commitment to civic responsibility.

Bengaluru-based Rapido's extensive network of 4 lakh captains played a crucial role in this initiative, covering an impressive distance of 32 lakh kilometers. Voters were able to utilize free bike taxi, auto, and cab rides to reach polling stations, enhancing the democratic process.

'On election days, Rapido's diligent efforts ensured that voters were transported seamlessly, thereby significantly increasing voter turnout,' the company highlighted in an official statement.
