The 1969 Beechcraft 35, which took off from Centennial Airport, encountered engine problems about 15 minutes into the flight. Initially aiming for Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, the pilot attempted an emergency landing on a neighborhood street. The aircraft hit a tree, crashed into a front yard, and collided with parked vehicles. Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after the crash at 9:30 a.m., extinguishing the fire.
