Gaurav Gogoi Urges Immediate Action on Deplorable Teok-Sivasagar Highway

Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi has called on Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to take swift action to complete the Teok-Sivasagar highway in Jorhat, citing its 'deplorable' condition.

In a video message from the construction site, Gogoi emphasized that the project had been delayed for years, leading to frequent accidents and prolonged traffic jams.

The highway, which is within Gogoi's Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency, is crucial for regional connectivity. Noting that several contractors abandoned the project midway, Gogoi expressed optimism that Gadkari would intervene to ensure timely completion.
