Airbus has announced that Air India has placed a significant order for 250 aircraft, comprised of 210 A320s and 40 A350 wide-body aircraft, with six A350s already delivered, according to journalist Ravi Jalhotra.

Meanwhile, IndiGo has ordered more than 1000 aircraft, including 30 cutting-edge A350 planes. As of June 2024, Airbus's latest figures underscore the growing demand for the A350, known for its operational flexibility and efficiency. Described as the world's most advanced and efficient wide-body aircraft, the A350 Family's design ensures the lowest cost per seat in the 300-410 seater category, making it a valued choice for long-haul journeys.

Air India has taken delivery of six A350s from its order, with additional units to arrive over the coming years based on the airline's operational needs. IndiGo's extensive order is geared towards fleet expansion, aligning with the airline's strategic growth. Both airlines have also placed substantial orders for narrow-body aircraft, with Air India committing to 210 and IndiGo to around 1,000, indicating robust plans for enhancing both domestic and international services.

The A350 is celebrated for its advanced design, featuring the state-of-the-art 'Airspace' cabin—renowned as the quietest twin-aisle aircraft cabin. This design elevates passenger comfort and improves in-flight experiences. Its aerodynamic build and cutting-edge technologies contribute to a significant 25% reduction in carbon emissions versus previous-generation aircraft, meeting global sustainability benchmarks.

Globally, the A350 Family has garnered 1,309 orders from 61 customers, including 1,254 passenger variants and 55 freighters. Airbus has delivered 606 A350s to date, with a backlog of 703 aircraft, including 648 passenger models and 55 freighters. Production is currently at six A350s monthly, with plans to double this rate by 2028 to satisfy market demands.

The A350 Final Assembly Line in Toulouse, France, follows a comprehensive 9-stage process to complete each aircraft.
