Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday welcomed the Union Budget 2024-25, emphasizing its focus on productivity and resilience in agriculture, which he believes will significantly benefit the Union Territory.

Sinha remarked that the budget aims to empower all sections of the population. He noted its emphasis on natural farming, oilseeds, vegetable production, and supply chains, projecting these measures as catalysts for inclusive growth for farmers, villages, and laborers.

Highlighting the development opportunities for J&K's youth, Sinha stated that the budget prioritizes 'Employment and Skilling' and introduces new schemes for youth empowerment, while also encouraging higher participation of women in the workforce.

Sinha affirmed that the budget offers unlimited opportunities for youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs, outlining plans for a prosperous rural India and the rapid development of robust agricultural and urban infrastructure.

He further credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for a visionary budget that is set to intensify economic growth, enact significant reforms for 'Viksit Bharat', and enhance 'Ease of Doing Business' and 'Ease of Living'.

Sinha also highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan as a game-changer for tribal-majority villages and aspirational districts.
