Early Tuesday, a tragic train derailment occurred in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to twenty others, according to officials.
The Howrah-Mumbai Mail's 18 derailed coaches disrupted the railway line near Barabamboo, about 80 km from Jamshedpur, at approximately 3:45 AM, the South Eastern Railway (SER) reports.
Concurrently, a nearby goods train also derailed, although the relationship between the two incidents is still under investigation. Rescue operations are in progress, and an NDRF team has been dispatched to the scene.
